Update - Detlev/Carsten

Well, glad I don't play the feeding frenzy game anymore.
For those that still have his "old" website geared in, forget it, it's a dead link now. Surprised he didn't have his webmaster link it automatically to the new home page, but he didn't. Still shows the old home page info and discusses his update today, but as soon as you try to get into the shop, it goes dead.
Search Carsten Baldes and you'll get the newer link. It does resemble Detlev's style page with different colors and you have to use Detlev's old log-in to access the inventory.
Yes, the PIC's are very poor and looking at some of the items that sold, I would not have bothered taking chances with the PIC's that were displayed. Not sure why, as his previous PIC's were fairly good on the old site.
I imagine a bit of a dissapointment for those that have to have that early morning fix, but look at the money you saved!! And, there really wasn't anything spectacular in my opinion anyway. Prices are of course, absurd but, they have been this way for sometime now IMO.
On another note; Philipp Militaria also updated there webpage (again) and sent out completely new passwords. I received two, both of which didn't work, so again...happy I don't need to give my money away.
On a positive note: Kai Winkler's site works fine and he has good PIC's and currently 20% off!

I logged in this morning and the first thing that happened was I noticed a 10 minute difference in time displayed versus actual but then it corrected itself. At 8:00 am EST when the site is open, nothing was listed. Then a few minutes later, I could not access the site at all. Later in the day, it worked fine.
As I said before, you should expect a few bumps in the transition. Imagine changing your website and venue in only two weeks. I agree the pictures were not great in most cases but I believe Carsten will get it together. He does know his stuff. So I welcome his new site even with its growth pains. He is probably a one man shop with a two man business. He will get there in time. Just have a little patience. He is an honest dealer and fair and reasonable in his dealings. Nothing wrong with that. I believe in character.

Yes He has straightened out the photos! and IMO as far as dealers go has kept the prices reasonable which makes good business sense!
Lets see... two dealers updates have 50 items, lower priced dealer sells 35 items the first week and higher price sells 8, seems lower priced dealer will have the bigger weekly paycheck every week while high priced sits on his inventory!
As time goes on it will be interesting to see how any old Detlev COA issues are handled?
Best Regards!

That is indeed an interesting point. I have just such an issue to deal with now.
Has anyone had any experience with this situation?

I do not see a Detlev Niemann sign on Carsten´s shop? IMO he just bought a
well-working concept.

Carsten's old web site is down and there is a new one that looks amazingly similar to Detlev's. In fact. your username and password will work on this site just like it did on Detlev's. I can personally vouch for Carsten and rank him very high in integrity. Detlev made a good choice in handing over the baton. Please give him your support. Things may be a liitle rocky during the transition but will work themselves out. Here is the website but you will see there is no inventory listed yet. I understand that the customer's should recive an email soon outlining the transition.
I know this is not particularly Luftwaffe related but this is my home base.

Hi Kevin
I do not read from you quote that Carsten will make any guarantees of Niemann´s COA´s ?
From your quote and visiting his website, All I read is that he continues the concept of the COA´s. And he will guarentee the ones that he had made himself. Not a single word about Niemanns COA´s
That would also be very weird IMO? All legal claims can only be made to the one that has signed the COA´s I would think?
