    Very good point Skip.

I recently handeled a "Porsche" PAB copy and the block hinge was constructed in the same way as the KM badge posted by Mark.
However on the PAB they already improved there technique. The gap between the two halfs of the hinge was so small that you almost needed magnifying glass to see it.

      Thanks

Thanks to all those that have given there time to help a newbie collector, I did have my doubts, I must admit the High seas fake seem very good except for the detail of the battleship and the markers mark. Thanks for pointing out the hinge skip, that’s something new i have learnt today.

      Many thanks Guys <O></O>

      Kindest Regards <O></O>

Did you get all of these fakes from the same source? They all have similarities to each other.

Also, avoid Luftwaffe Pilot's badges with wedgies, unless it's a super early Assmann aluminum P/O Badge.

As a golden rule and easy to remember for any type of III Reich badge. Run like hell if you see the type of catch used on the badge you posted. This catch is typical for a lot of post war copies and a sure give away.

The pin, hinge and catch as shown by Mark and as descriped by Philippe is a common pin, hinge and catch used on the 1957 version badges.

Badges came for 2 sorces, not a dealer, Private

              Hi gents<O</O

Funny enough these items all came from different sources except for the Luft Obs and the High seas badge, thankfully i didn’t pay top money for them, around £30 a piece. Yuri sorry for my lack of terminology what are you referring to when you mean "wedges" ?
