Hi Guys,
Doesn't anyone here find that the swas not being silvered is a bit awkward? On the few original Assmann and Deumer UAGs' I've seen or had the privelidge to examine all had the swastikas silvered. I have encountered many a fake with the swas completely black but not an original period badge to date. Frank, on the reverse of the example shown by Rick there appears to be two die flaws in the ring surrounding the maker mark - never saw that before on these, only the flaw at 10 o'clock. Further deterioration of the die?? In addition, that's a first for me also seeing that style of eagle on a Wegerhoff Gunner.

Dear Eric,
I have seen believable Deumers with a black swastika, e.g. the one pictured below.
If you read my posts in this thread, you will see I never offered an opinion on Rick´s badge. It is just important to me to bring the facts together so everybody can make his judgement. For me these facts are: only the eagle is really different, now even the rivets seem to be not so far away from at least one other GWL badge (Winkler´s).
