Hi every one I am looking at this late war badge but the eagle is silver not gold,I am thinking the zinc has changed the color? Any thoughts about this? Thanks In advance.

HI David...it is common for these late war badges to have what looks like a silver wash as either the gold wash has faded away, or was never applied in the first place, John
