        Hi Steiner,

These type of paras are controversial. Its a Steinhauer & Luck badge with a cupal eagle on it. There are so many variations and coupled with the fact that S&L continued to produce after the war as well as making the 1957 badges from the same dies, there isn't a good consensus on what is wartime vs. postwar. In my opinion, that type you show is a wartime badge, however yours seems to have been messed with. Definately a repaired catch, but you can see the original oblong catchplate under it. The rivets are also not typical of S&L para badges, so they may have been replaced at some point.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

            Hi Lothringen,

Can you elaborate on why not? Do you think ALL of these S&L badge are reproductions, or just some of them? If you think some are good, what is the difference between the originals and reproductions in your opinion?

            Thanks
