    Regular nightfighter clasp?

This lot just came in from the daughter of the vet, she told me he was a nightfighter.

The denazified clasp shows remaints of black paint, but this looks "fieldmade" to me - is it possible that "regular" clasps were overepainted?

      Nice group you got there!

That is absolutely possible, that the clasps were period painted black by themselves.
      Looks original IMO..

Looks OK to me. Even the factory painted clasps can be quite clumsy painted.

                  Agree!
If this was "holy" stuff for the old lady, she shouldn´t have sold them. She hated it, but didn´t mind making profit of it...

Well let me remind you your own posting that you had about the Barkmann subject of "honor vets" etc.

This is not the way to honor vets. Those personally given items you keep in your collection.

                    Martin

PS. I hope that the family keep the Barkmann items in a good safe and hope that you do not "secured' them at your home.

I bet that if someone gave you something that was totally outside your collecting field that you would also sell, no ?

You are comparing pears with apples:

                            - here we have a family, who cares (now) for the stuff

                            - there we have a daughter, who dont gave a damn for the awards of her father, and SOLD them for good money - and not "PERSONALLY GIVEN", as you stated.

Where do you think all the stuff in your collection came from, or the stuff offered by dealers? Fallen from the sky?

Right on target! In my opinion the daughter is nothing but a ****ing hypocrite; she disliked what her father stood for (if he even stood for it at all? perhaps he had no choice!). But she doesn´t mind making profit on "nazi stuff".
