What do you think of this breast eagle? real or another Assmann copy.

In the interests of learning could you explain why you think it is real or a copy.

cap eagle looks good. summer breast eagle is bad. assmann pieces are marked "A DRGM" left of the hinge. the Assmann zink hollow and copper plated hollow breast eagles reverse are marked "A" in the center.

Is this what you mean by a hollow with the A in the middle? The A is hard to see in the photo but it is there. Pin clasp and hinges may have been replaced - what do you think?

the cupal and zink hollow assmann are both good. I used to own the same style examples. The pin and catch on youre zink assmann is original style used on their zink tunic eagles.

I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the breast eagle as fake. There is a similar Assmann with the large "A", having the two bottom bars of the letter slightly tilted.

Nothing wrong with the breast eagle in my opinion.

How about this one? Is it an original, or another fake? The Brustadler seems to be made from Bronze or Brass, a mark in the center of the reverse side is present, but I can't make out the exact shape of this, and one arm of the swartica has been deformed.

There're pro's and cons concerning this particular eagle..., those who cry fake never had any more evidence than a story that once upon a time these were sold cheap, so they can't be real..
There're fakes of this A-marked eagle, but they're a copy of this one, so a fake of a "fake" as a matter off speaking.., now that's weird..
It's a never ending story with no winners IMO.
Other Summer eagle copies have issues, this one has right measurements and weight compared to the other assmann eagle.
We're talking about the aluminum version ofcourse..

Concerning the hollow back zink A-marked eagle, first there was the zink version, later I saw there was a KupAl one, then there was a metal silverwash plated and finally a buntmetal version..
Time will learn.., till now I think I know of 12 different types with 2nd model eagle and some of them have their variations..

Well, this is a old fake, no detail, made of heavy stuff, unfinished back etc..
Real Summer eagles are quite a piece of art.
