I dont think that the badge was put apart and then restored separately (eagle and the rest) as there are different spots on the eagle on the back side. If not I think the layer would be equal threw whole back side.

Deep file marks still colored gold in the crevaces=dinked-with badge=not collectible to me. The finer points discussed above are good for educational purposes, but nothing can discount that screwed with area around the hinge.
