                    Well, that is a difficult question. My opinion is that these were 1939 to 1941, maybe 1942 before they switched to using zink.

                      Thanks Tom,that makes sense as the badge is part of a para grouping.He was awarded the badge in 1939.

                      The next part of the story is a Summer hol in Crete to get a pic of his grave at Maleme which i found trawling on the net.

                            Herr Juncker didn't make anything.. . it were his workers..

                            This particular badge was made by Fallschirmjaegerabzeichen Hersteller Kurt Lindenbaum , 1st floor, section C .
