Cream colored LW Pilot box interior

Can anyone tell me from the box alone what maker a LW Pilots badge might be?

The Pilot badge in question does not yet belong to me but it comes directly from the grandson (named after his grandfather) of the LW pilot. The interior of the badge's box has a cream colored satin lid lining, and the flocking that the badge rests upon is of the same color.

    Thanks,

    Chuck

Is the exterior of the case a standard luftwaffe pilot badge case? If so the interior could just be replaced.

Yes, the outside of the box is typical of qualification badge boxes, it is the standard blue with gold lettering.

Haven't seen one like that before, but would like to see pics of badge and case when you get it.

Here's something GDM is offering. GWL. Not sure if the case is good???

As far as predicting what kind of badge is inside the case you mention,
there has been a lot of swapping and pairing, since 1945 so that would be a long shot.

Are the items genuine is the real question. Be sure to post pics!

Here it is. It's an early Friedrich Linden Ludenscheid (FLL) Pilot badge, The box no longer has it's flocking and the badge just sits on the cardboard cut out. The lid is missing it's fabric cushion too. This badge, as well as a number of other items are being obtained via bits and pieces directly from the family of the German bomber pilot and victory goblet winner who was KIA in Sicily in 1943. Once the grouping is totally complete, with everything, it will be profiled here on the WAF.
