    Unmarked para badge - HELP?

    I would like to get some opinions on this badge. Is it unmarked B&NL badge?

            Unmarked para badge

            I do not not like the rivets , swas , or the catch on this badge. It just looks bad to me.

              The wreath, catch and pin look like a good Berg and Noite, but the eagle looks funny and not like the B&N eagle. The eagle looks like the one on the unmarked FFl badge. Maybe it's just the photos. I wonder if someone used a good wreath and pin set and put a repro eagle on it...???

                Hi Sasha,

                I think Marc might have nailed it, and agree that it looks like a good B&NL wreath with a good FLL eagle on it. Both of them look like textbook originals, but the eagle does look a bit soft. It may be a casting of an original, but I don't think so. I would look really closely at the rivets to see if they look repaired, because this eagle hasn't really ever been found on a B&NL wreath. However, both firms were located in Ludenscheid, so it could be an example of sharing between two makers.

                If you are looking for a nice, textbook para badge, this one is CERTAINLY not for you. It is a nice curiosity piece that may be an original, but I personally wouldn't buy it without a good study and not for a lot of money.

                  I was told that this is a late war example...That is possibility, both firms located in same town in late war stages with shortages in materials could of shared some of the pieces.
