    FLL Para Badge

    Hello gents,

This badge has an eagle fashioned after an FLL, but the hardware doesn't look right to me. I need some help here.

I do not have the badge in hand, only these pictures to go on.

Thanks in advance for your input.

          Hi Mike,
Ill take a shot at it,,
The badge itself looks ok to me, matches my FLL Para just fine, looks like the catch may have been replaced at one point, it looks to be an old repair if so. The hinge is probably ok, as FLL used 3 or more variants of hardware on their pilot badges.. I think the badge is ok...

            Hi Mike,

Can only agree with Van, this is a nice original FLL Para. The hardware is very typical of mid to late war badges by this maker. The catch DOES NOT look repaired to me, and this thick wire style on oval catchplate can commonly be seen on FLL PABs, IABs & CCCs. The oval hinge was used to a lesser extent by FLL, usually they used the block hinge sitting on its side.

A nice original badge that is commonly found in this condition, since FLL is not known to have used a high quality type of finish, especially on thier later war pieces.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
