Estate Group of LW GABs Reveal Manufacturer

I've seen these about over the years, and I know these have been the subject of debate. This group has four identical badges, two with marked envelopes.

They are clunky but neat. The badges are darkened, with very un-German light battleship grey gloss paint on the clouds abd ground strike point. No makers marks or obverse eagle rivet hole, and as previously noted both hinge mount point and hook are cast into the pin body.

I hope this is helpful to the LW badge collecting body.

    Regards, Robert

Obverse - I think the use of light grey gloss paint is kind of neat -

Nice find Robert but I believe we knew the maker of these for a while now.

              Hi Robert,

Great find, but as Don says, these were already known as many others of this variant have also been found in these Arno Wallpach envelopes. But, its good to see a few more, and adds a little bit more evidence to support this maker.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Good deal, glad to contribute. The only reference I found here linking the two was a 2005 thread, but seems we cracked the code since then.

Anyway, thanks for looking! s/f Robert

There's a luft flak badge that has that same type of paint on the reverse. I wonder if they are connected?

Here on the right you can see the badge. I personally do not think the paint is the same though...
