    Para badge - possible fake?

This is my first attempt to post a thread. I have not been able to discover from the site how to include more than one pic. I've asked WMA but they likely are busy at the moment. In order to see the other pics, I hope that one of you will be able to assist me. I mean no disrespect to WMA. I have to find out legitimacy of this item and several more in the next 2-3 days on a pending deal.
I have my suspicions regarding this JMME-only marked para badge. On this side, the eyes, feet and what appears to be casting flaw at the tip of the lower wing seem to be different than what I've seen so far on this site most of which are marked "JMME&SONNE BERLIN".

    Hello,

the details are very soft. Jmme badges are known for their crisp details. The swas also looks very crude. Jmme badges also have that distinct "color" to their wreaths.

      Hi Van,

      Welcome to the forum!

Your suspicions are correct, this is a poor casting and not original. The eagle is a BSW eagle on a fake S&L wreath and then matched up with a bogus IMME marking is all very telling. The soft appearance to the obverse wreath and eagle is also a big red flag.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

POD, Thomas, lubo thank you for your remarks. The other pics show wavering lines along the edge of the wreath as well as a distinct casting pit at the hinge.
Along with this medal came a GAB G.B.42 and a luft M43 field cap which I will post in the appropriate areas.
