The badge is a copy.
Just from the reverise, the pin set up on the initial photo is similar to a '57 pattern pin arrangement and there is no channel cut under the barrel hinge assembly.

Does the catch look like this? If so, it may be a good badge with the hinge and pin replaced. However I would expect the wreath to be zinc, and it appears to be tombak?
