Unissued Flak badge w/ LDO packet

Here is an unused luft flak badge with the remnants of the LDO package. Just wondering if anyone can ID the maker? Thanks.

I am with Mark on this, The detail is all wrong, The Eagle and Swastika, Missing the cutout.... I hope I am wrong as I am learning daily about these!

Unmarked Hobacher, see page 130 in my book. The swas is NEVER cut out on a Hobacher. Wiedmann used the same eagle but always cut out the swas - an easy way to tell them apart. But there are good ones where they did not do the gun cutout.

The catch is different from other WH flaks, but I would have to compare to other Hobacher war badges and I really have no issues with it. It is the gray paint (?) that looks odd. Is it paint? Anyway, I have no issues with the badge.

Please post the cello to the cases forum. The ones I have seen always have purple ink, so do check with the cases guys.
            Thanks!
            Marc

              Marc,
Yes, it has what I believe is gray paint on the reverse, looks professionally factory done and that is how it came from a friend of mine who got this,a CCC, and a cased EK1 screwback in the LDO box from a WW2 vet neighbor of his. I posted the CCC last week and that was fine also. The ink on the packet is purple, just my poor photographic skills!!

Oop's , sorry about my call on this one , what threw me was the lack of cut out next too pedestal , but after hunting down Marc's book THERE it is without the cutout .Yes , before anyone says it , whats the point of having a reference book & not checking first ? Well we are in the middle of decorating & all my books are stored in boxes so i just went from memory for this one .

                  and

                  Mark,
Don't beat yourself up! Sometimes I even have to check my own book.

Hmm, the gray paint really has me thinking. There is the flatback Heeresflak with gray paint. Looks the same paint too. But the supposed WH Heersflak is a different design. Makes me think...

They came from a great source, and have never been monkeyed with, so I tend to believe this was original wartime applied paint.

Never said it wasn't, but it may be clues to other things...I am looking for links.

but after hunting down Marc's book
As I sit at my computer, my books are behind my right shoulder and my badges behind my left, both at arms reach. I've had to do quick research more than once.
My wife won't let me move the fridge into my office.
