      'Numbered' Luft Tank Assault

I go along with the guys that say "Yes!" . In the early 80's I had started picking up tank badges & had accumulated 108 of them which included all the numbered "Heer" versions & 3 of the Luftwaffe type - (un-numbered, black finished) which was a 1 piece stamped pattern in the same pattern as the Luft Ground Assault. The others were a "50" & a "75" version which were 3 piece construction with a seperately attached eagle, 2 rivets, 'barrel' hinge set-up & not maker marked. I sold both Luftwaffe Tank Assaults to 'Mr. For Fuhrer and Fatherland'. If they were all 'fantasy' pieces then it sure is strange that J.R. (Jack) Angolia, [who published how many books refering to Third Reich awards?], laid out the cash to buy these badges from me!

There could be many reasons Mr. Angolia bought the badges from you. None of them having anything to do with their authenticity.

          .....

I always the Luft Panzer badge was an actual badge instituted by Herman Goring to Honor the Luftwaffe Ground troops, in tanks. Am i wrong?

            Hello,
That doesn't mean much. Angolia bought a lot of things and sold many fakes. If he bought Luftwaffe Panzer badges from you I bet he sold them to someone else for big money. Back in 1983, Angolia tried to sell me a Panzer Badge in silver for 200 assaults (I posted a photo of it on this forum). When I dared question it (because it was 100% bad) I got a hatefu letter which basically said I was a kid with no experience and he was an expert. I should know more things before I question something of his. I am so glad I did not send him $1,200.00+. That is one of many stories I have about "Mr. For Fuehrer and Fatherland".

                                Hi Andy,
I agree and I like how he just has a 1914 EK and a Hindenburg Cross on his ribbon bar.
