    Fake Assmann Para

    Hi guys,

Just doing a little search on the Staegemeir site this morning and thought I would post a new fake he has out. Its a cast Assmann Para. Details look OK, but several key areas on the reverse that are quite telling with this fake. He favors the Assmann badges, most of his fakes are of this same type of para badge, but just mixes up the hardware, markings and finish.

Yes, you have to really know what you're looking at with every dealer site, but this guy used to have good stuff mixed in the inventory as well, estimated almost 40% original at one time, probably to get the collector off guard and then make the big money on the repros. Be very careful there!

Tom, It appears that some of the components have been out sourced in order to lower costs.

The truth is that if you pay attention well, are several details that do not square, for example the rivets, in short, it is a machine to do fakes
