      Hi Charles,

IMO its a casting of an original Juncker. The wreath and eagle both look close to originals, but the details are just not there. The cutout in the eagle is not typical of Junckers (other than their 1st pat), and that maker mark is not like originals, although I think Bob Hritz has a flak badge with this type of maker mark on it that was deemed to be an original flak if I am not mistaken.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I agree with Tom, appears to be cast. The details are just not there and if you look closely at the swastika, you can see what appears to be a casting step on one of the arms.

          THANKS!

What I am doing is sorting through a very old, and very large collection that does not yet belong to me. There are many out and outright fakes in this grouping and many very good reproductions that were sold as originals some 10,20, or 30 years ago (+) by some of the well known con men of this business both still living and dead. Some of the prices paid for many of the obvious reproductions is frightening. It's amazing how these fellows latch onto wealthy collectors that don't know anything about what they are buying and how they are taken for such large sums of money, then they die and their heirs refuse to believe the truth when they try to sell everything off. It is VERY hard convincing the heirs of the facts and even harder to get them to come off the good stuff without wanting you to buy the bad as well.

Stay tuned, there will be more!

          Chuck
