The rivets look odd but other than that it seems like a good Assmann. You may want a few others to chime in as well.

          Hi Joey,

In my opinion, its a decently made reproduction. The reverse edges are very soft and the hardware is not what you would expect from an Assmann. Also the rivets are not textbook and look very sloppy. The finish and patina on the obverse is also not like original Assmann's IMO.

              Joey,

Sure, here are a few threads with a quick search on what I consider a textbook Assmann Observer. Yours is close, but not quite right, as is with many reproductions these days.

                      Dear Joey,

I am not sure why you posted the piece. You post it and ask for opinions, Tom gives you a nice run down and even provides links to what a textbook piece should look like and you insult him.

For what it is worth, I do not like the piece for the very reasons Tom pointed out. If you dont llike the opinions then either get some manners or don't post.

Since you didn't specify, I didn't know if you were trying to buy it or already had it, that's why I tempered my remark with wanting to hear from others. I would not have bought it.

Gary is quite right, you are a first class wanker with your insulting remarks just because you don't get the answer you want and I'm not one for names but you sir, fit the bill.

If you want a further education, here is what a mint, 2nd pattern Assmann observer should look like.

                            Hi guys,

Joey, you are right I am think indeed. With that out of the way, why not posts reasons why you like the Observer? Something constructive. I have given reasonable aspects of the badge which DO NOT conform to accepted originals, so why not post reasons why you think it is good? This can become a good thread, as yours is a well made fake that others can learn from. Plus, you only have my 1 opinion, so lets wait for others to comment before you cry and go home.

                            Tom

                            p.s., Gary, thanks

Alan, excellent original Assmann Observer, what a beauty!
