        Hi Ken,

Looks like a good Steinhauer und Luck with a replaced pin and that has been cleaned with tarn-x or some other oxidation remover.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Holy crap Ken, that is the cleanest S&L I have ever seen - too bad they took all the lacquer off...

That's great news! It is an extremely clean piece. I appreciate the responses

Not sure I agree Ken. She is real, but IMHO the cleaning has devalued the piece.

Looks flashy though. Maybe it was spray painted and it can be removed...? Maybe you could try this with a little acetone and a q-tip.

Looking closely at it, it may have been painted. They did a great job on it, but it could be. I'll take a closer look at it and see what happens.

I strongly doubt it was painted.

I keep looking for any run marks, overspray, build-up or anything that would make me think painted and really don't see anything. The detail on the front is incredible which (to me) doesn't indicate painting because all the small details are crisp. One wing tip on the back has a little silver to it, but that is it.....

Ken, it is a perfectly normal S&L - I can even see a little of the original green lacquer on the reverse. Someone dipped it. Still a good badge, but squeaky clean.
