            Hi Fernando

Your badge appears to be an original. However it looks as if the rivets were hammered to tighten and it suffers from a bit of "zinc pest" corrosion.

These late war BSW's were somewhat crudely made. More often then not they show up well used and sometimes with repairs.

            Just my opinion.

            Ken

              Thanks Ken,

I have been looking others examples of zinc during this days and some of them have the same problem in their rivets and also the "zinc pest" corrosion in the catch.

unfortunately several pictures haven't the sufficient light, but I think now the same like you... It appears to be an original zinc BSW

I agree. This BSW has seen some action but otherwise it is a genuine piece.

                Regards, Theo

I am sorry for the poor lighting in my photos, but I thought it was sufficient to see what needs to be seen on this badge .... Fernando, I am glad that your doubts into the originality of my badge have been removed ... Cheers, Torsten.
