Luft ball hinge Flak - quick question

I just received the below badge today, and am quite happy with it.

But I was wondering, is it common that there is a little movement/wiggle between the eagle/swaz and the oak leaf wreath?

I have had and have pilot badges, flak badges, para badges, Luft. ground assault badges that have had loose eagles, they get banged around in combat or general wear, so it is common to see a loose eagle here and there.... nice badge by the way... nice honest looking wear to it..

Yes, especially the zinc ones. The attachment method, as detailed with photos in my groundbreaking book on every aspect of the flak badge, shows how the eagle used a circular attachment device that linked to the ball. Some amount of wiggle is no cause to lose sleep over.

Thank you both VERY much as I truly appreciate your expertise. I'm finally happy to have a "real" one. I, like many in this hobby, have been burned a time or two.

        So again, my thanks !!
