I didn't know quite where to place these so I have put them here. Hopefully you Luftwaffe guys might be able to help.
My Great Uncle (tall fellow in the picture) died recently and was a mechanic in the USAAC's 95th Heavy Bombardment Group, responsible for the B-17 named "Just Elmers Tune" (Elmer was his brothers name but I don't know that it had any coralation with the planes naming). I have his unit history book, some photos, his presidential unit citation (blue with two oaks), and his English made ETO ribbon with 4 campaign stars. I also have these identification plates from a German aircraft that was shot down and he scavanged through.
Can anyone tell me what these ID plates are from?
Thanks,
Chuck
