    PO Juncker 3rd model opinions

    Hello guys.
I'm being offered this PO badge marked Juncker 3rd model.
I got an opinion that it is OK, but to realy be sure i have to ask the experts on WAF for their opinion.

    Thanks

I agree that it is an original J3PO. IMO the pitting on the eagles reverse is not desirable (probably caused by impurities in the batch or improper curing/striking) and should be factored into your purchase price.

Agree with the others, a nice J3 PO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Now that's a badge that doesn't come along very often. If you are looking for that exact P/O, I'd grab it (of course within reasonable price, and manufacturing flaw considered).

For a J3, that example retains 90%+ of its original finish. It's a pretty one, for sure!

                Mark,

Besides being a screwback, what makes your P/O even cooler is that it's a J3 eagle on a J2 wreath. Also notice that the hallmark is in the spot normally marked on a J2. Nice.

                  Hey T-Bone,

I wish I had beat Francois to the all-J2-screwback. Maybe from Tom Huss, I think? That is a beauty. I had a chance to pick up a J1 screwback, but the wreath was just about down to tombak, and devoid of gilt. Very scarce badge, but not pretty enuf, for the price.

Good to see you are still here. Most of the 'originals' are long since gone.

Kind of like most of the good militaria. I hope we are worth more than a repro!

I'm down in San Luis Obispo flying for United Express. It's a college town, and Pismo beach is 4 miles away, so I can't complain about the views!!!!

Come on out for a visit after the Max.
