    Unmarked Glider Badge....

    Hello Everyone,
I have searched for this badge (on the forum) but I can't seem to find out if its good or bad. It looks like a Deumer set up and it seems like some members don't think that maker made them. Please let me know what you think of this badge (good or bad) and who the maker might be. Many thanks in advance.

      Hi

If it is original,it is a Juncker.

Juncker would be my guess as well (hinge, pin, rivets), although the catch is throwing me off.

Thanks for the opinions guys, I really appreciate it. So, do you think its good? I was leaning towards bad, but I really haven't studied these as much as I should have. My main concern were the eagles feet, they look awfully large.

            Hi Andy,

I have been reluctant to comment, based on the quality of the images. Probably an outdoor shot in natural light, with a tighter close-up, would sure help.

As to Deumer..... well, the accepted manufacturers are Juncker & BSW, marked and unmarked, buntmetal and kreigsmetal. I have heard Deumer's name mentioned too, but no one has proof, one way or the other. So, open for speculation.

My opinion is that you have an unmarked Juncker zinker. But as Scott mentioned, the catch is not quite right. The plate is too large and the catch is round wire. I'm more used to seeing flat wire catches on the later Juncker Zinkers. But those two oddities in themself, don't make the badge bad.

            Regards,
            Mark
