there is a name and some writing scratched onto the back as well:

'Nirolsburg'?? around the wreath on lefthand side but hard to make out.

cant figure the name sorry and there is some more writing on the righthandside as well

I like the Brehmer eagle as well, very detailed. It resembles the Juncker 1st pattern eagle in many ways. One thing I particularly like about the Juncker is the roll in the right wing. It remings me of their pilot badge eagles.

yes it's a great looking eagle and very 3D. Nice badges Robert!

Very nice Dave. Too bad about the swastika, but a great badge nonetheless.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                Dave,

Photos can be deceiving, but I would look at the area on the eagle where the swasi is broken off to determine if the eagle itself is neusilber or tombak. The tombak will have a slightly yellow/orange shade, the neusilber a dull gray. The wreath, in areas where the surface wear has gone beyond the thin surface and into the core material, one can determine the core material. If the most heavily worn area on the wreath is still a dull gray, I would say neusilber, IMO.
