Trying Out a New Camera with Birdies

I thought I would take some time and experiment with my new camera. These are the best I can do for being an amateur. Some of you guys just take phenomenal pictures. Hopefully, in time I will get as good as some of you.

                  Hi Joe!

You're in for a big challenge, as minty badges are the ultimate test in photo skills. And, we all know everything you have is mint, oh yeah. But, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your photos - everything is right with them. Like Marc said, 'Hot!' Like my 19-year old niece says, 'Sick!'

                  ...'cool'

                    Thanks Guys,

I am getting there. I still have a ways to go. Especially on the software side. Robert has that part down to a science.

                        Thanks Joe,

But Lorenzo Brown has the montages down to the right background colors, depth of field, lighting, etc., everything just perfect. I've heard the most user-friendly viewing is with the opposite color on the color spectrum wheel. I'm still experimenting with that. I find it really interesting. I've tried to use background colors that coorespond with the colors in something else in the photo, in this case the badge itself. There's a little tan in the badge itself...

                            Hi George,

The camera is a Canon Power Shot A720 IS. My wife purchased it for me. She paid around $175.00 for it. It appears to be a pretty nice camera for the price.

Nice photo's guys. Crisp and sharp.

Canon makes good cameras imo also no offense in the lower range. It's seldom you go wrong with a Canon.

A good tip that I believe Flak88/Marc came up with is to get a tripod. They don't cost a lot and is great with those trembling hands
