    Ground assault badge - Opinions?

I have been thinking about putting this on eStand. But wanted to make sure first, that this is ok.

    Opinions appreciated,

Please pro's, can not be that hard. My only concern is the swastika, which is different comparing to examples on Mr. Pinkus site...

      Hi Jani,

The badge looks genuine to me. The patina on the eagle looks a bit strange in the images so I'd have a look between the eagle and the badge to make sure it has not been re-attached or otherwise messed with (either that or maybe someone has painted the eagle black?). If the eagle does not look re-attached then the entire badge is probably OK - I'd have it in my collection.

I generally agree with Mike K on this....the eagle/swaz looks like it might have been taken off and reattached due to the fact that the swaz is cut out which is unlike other MUKs......the pics arent the greatest but the eagle looks like an authentic big beaker!...the badge itself appears genuine.
if you want to send me or post better pics i would be happy to look at them.

              Possibly repaired?

Skip,I think, basically, the badge is good but it looks like a repair on the pin attachment to me.There are too many details that make the badge a good candidate wartime badge. Is that discoloration on the upper pin-bar?From what I can see from your picture the hinge is mushy or distorted.Perhaps it;'s the picture but I would say it's been repaired, probably during wartime.Their badges "broke"and there are pictures of Soldaten wearing Iron Crosses askew(broken catch) and broken battle badges too.
This is one that I wish I could handle to make a final opinion...
