New Ground Assault Badge - unmarked Juncker?

    Hello, Gentlemen.

I just ordered this badge after browsing the archives for 'like and kind' examples. From what I could find this badge looks good to me. What do you all think?

    Hi Robert,

Just perfect. In my opinion these are by far the best luft GAB's ever made.

Untill now only Mike P came up with a marked example, that however if I remember correctly showed some little differences compared to the unmarked examples. but all in all I think it's quit save to assume that Juncker made them.

Just to compare here is mine.

      unmarked luft GAB reverse

The difference in color you see between top and bottom in reality isn't there. It's just the result of shade due to the fact that the badge is vaulted.

Yes, Philippe, another nice example. Thank you. Everything appears to be the same on both badges. The eagles are really nice, aren't they? I have never seen a GAB I didn't like but, I too like the Juncker above all others. A tombak Juncker would really be a treasure. I have only seen the one Mike Pinkus owns.

        Thanks again, Philippe.

            Hello,

I'm afraid the light has gone so the light depreciates the badge's full glory, not as nice as the examples shown here but I think this is a Juncker peice also.

            My apologies for the pic's

            Kind regards,

            Marcus

                Hello Gentlman,

Late on the thread, some very nice examples, haven't yet had the chance to land one of these beauties myself. The finish on the Junckers is very distinctive and easy to spot, IMHO . Never realy see them offered in the kind od condition as Roberts example or Philippe. Althoug I also like the GWL version as well. I think that the finih on a well preserved GWL is about the only rival to Junckers.

                Just my 2.5 cents,

                Best Regards,
                JD

Thanks, Joseph. I had no idea that GWL made the Ground Combat Badge. I did a search through the archives and found quite a few examples. Very nice badges with great detailing.

                  hmmm...have to start the hunt.
