    Recon clasp in silver. Opinions

    Hi!

I got this Silver Recon clasp from a dealer in Germany.
The clasp is marked with C. E. Junker.
    I want some opinions.

    Best regards
    Harald

It is a reproduction. The correct spelling is JUNCKER and it is stamped in the wrong place.

The first two things that caught my eye were the oak leaves and the pin. Wow! When they can't even spell the maker's name right...

It sure is a junk-er. Try to get your money back.

                    Hello Harald

Here's an original gold Juncker clasp for comparison - I hope you can return that clasp.

                    Best wishes
                    Paul

                        Thanks.
I looked on my collection yesterday and had a fealing I had seen some earlier posts on the WAF of these kind of clasps. When I blow up the maker name saw the misspelling I got a really bad feeling.
There were a lot of them on German shows some years ago.
Weitze and other dealers sold them with a nice story that they came from a family living in the former DDR.
I am glad I can return it.

                        Best regards
                        Harald
