    Jmme P/O ????

    HI guys
I have my thoughts on this badge but I could be wrong. Please give me your opinion on it. Thanks David R.

That eagle does not look quite like the J-2 eagle that I have seen on other JMME Pilot's badges. The rivets are too large and round, the ones I've seen on JMME badges are usually smaller and pinched.

        Not For Me

        Hi David,
I too have reservations on the badge you posted also. I agree with Yuri about the rivits on this one - they do not look like either Juncker or JMME as they are much too large for either maker. The size of the eagles beak concerns me too - maybe it's the pic, but that baby looks huge. The talons on the eagle are also not typical of a J2 either. Another thing I don't particularly care for is the large flaw seen on the upper arm of the swastika in pic # po 007 (5) jpg. Looks like a casting flaw maybe??? Sorry, but IMO, a clunker!

            Hi Guys,

I'm also still learning on these Luftwaffe birdies, and for me thats quit a scary one if it is a fake. I also noticed the beak and the big rivets but thought it was quit accurate in other areas except for one thing I noticed and on which I realy would appreciate the opinion of you advanced luftwaffe collectors.

"THE FILEMARKS" I only have one Juncker 3 pattern PB to compare with but what I noticed on this PB were the almost TOO perfect filemarks. Clearly vissible not only arround the innner and outer wreath but also going arround the eagle.

Alltough filemarks are visible on all my luftwaffe badges I never have seen such perfect filemarks. So my question is, are these kind of filemarks to be considered a good give away for the fact that something is wrong.

            Thanks in advance

            Philippe

I don't care for the large gap between the swaz and wreath as well.

              Cheers.

                Hello Dave,

Just got in so I am late to the thread, not much to add to the comments already posted. Definatly a clunker; with respect to the observations posted by the others. The beak is the the easiest give away, then it just gets deeper.

                Best Regards,
                JD

                  Hi, David.
Compare with this J2. Like the others have said, there are some definate issues here.

If it's a repro look at how much more effort is being made to 'finish' the badge.

Here is what a real JMME is supposed to look like:

Does anybody know how much these JMME badges are going for in the current market?

Depends on condition. If it's the real deal J2 variety in nice condition it should fetch $850 give or take a little, uncased.
