Need help on Assmann needle system

Could this be an authentic assmann zinc pilot badge needle system?

    Thanks a lot!

No I dont think so. Do a search of the forum and you will come across a few late war Assman Pilots badges to compare. To be honest the rivets do not match a late war Assman either

On a late war Assman the pin and hinge are usually made of a silver metal alloy and the rivets are usually flat zinc.

Can you post pics of the front of the badge ?

Looking at the pitting on the wreath it could be a casting.

Like already said, Assmann usually have barrel hinge on flat plate. This type is not standard Assmann. better show the front to be sure.

We need to see pictures of the front of the badge to say if it is a reproduction, but with the evidence so far it does not look good.

              Thanks everyone!
I already have an alu/tombak Assmann pilot but such a needle system as on the foto was new to me, I thought it might have been applied in zinc badges. I have seen similar needle/catch combinations on Fallschirmjäger but not on pilot´s badges. Unfortunately I only have a blurry image of the front - which looks OK - but is not of real value.
              Thanks again!
