Original. Many of these late war FLL badges had their hooks soldered on that way.

Hello,

are you sure this is a Pilot/Observers badge. To me it looks like just Pilot. The wreath still has silver in its reverse.

I also think the hook looks original. See how the same color surrounds it as the hinge.

FLL Pilots badge, not p/o.. fairly nice too... price is about right for the late war badges..
