    Early Silver Juncker Bomber Clasp

I brought this clasp home with me from the SOS for my fleigerbluse...

I was told it was a Juncker.

      Yeah Marc,

And you know, it fits the loops as if they were made just for it. It's a keeper. Thanks for your help on this one.

Does anyone know how to ID these? Mine is exactly the same, and unmarked. Many thanks!

Like every TR item, every piece is a study in itself. Here is a good place to start to find the various makers of the flight clasps:

              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/war_...ing_clasps.htm

Doing a search on this forum under the makers name and type of clasp should give you some idea on how to differenciate one from another.

              I hope this helps.

                      Hi Robert,

Great looking Front Flight Spange! But how about a close-up of the Pilot's Badge? It must be a Juncker Type #2. The silver wreath is a 'killer'!

                      Regards...

                        Mark,

Sorry to disappoint you, but it's only a lowly unknown maker (FLL).

No worries, the clasp more than makes up for it. What a beauty!
                          Congrats!
                          cheers

                            Robert,

Ah yes, FLL. Gorgeous ... and minty. The 'unknown' has a very unique sharp strike. One of the crisp-i-e-s-t.

                            I'll take it. Sold!

Years ago I collected quite a nice variety of pilot and observer badges by some of the favored makers, but they all left to new homes for reasons undisclosed. And what did I wind up in in the end, but an FLL. But from a distance it's hard to recognize what it really is other than a mint pilot. So, all is well.

BTW, it's what a junior NCO deserves.
