Well, it is a Wiedmann. The replaced catch is in the correct spot and all the features match. The odd pulling to the metal on the reverse scares me a bit. The whole hinge and catch are obviously replaced and soldered to death. Is there a maker mark on it - a W on either the bottom left or dead center. I don't think so but should ask. Does it write on paper when you drag it? That would indicate it is lead. I have to say my initial reaction is it looks like a heavily worn example, but the metal "fatigue" to the rear makes me wonder. Can you provide measurements of the wreath? That should help us with whether it was cast or not. And do the lead test. I think it is just crappy Kriegsmetal, but you never know.

Hi, thank you, for the explanation, I cannot take off the measures, therefore I still did not buy, I would like the opinion if it is false or true? Despite the whole hinge and catch are obviously replaced .
