Hi Dave,

WH Wiens are generally thought to be copys although I have heard some German collectors stating that this is not true!!

I´ll have a shot at it:

Don´t like the pointed eagle head!
Don´t like the squashy looking leaves!
Don´t like the fatty gun barrel!
Don´t like the MM

Do like detailing to the cannon
Do like the "buntmetal" hinge and pin
Do like the crimped in hook.

I would be more against it, than for it, without having it in my hands.

Unfortunately, as Skip stated, the general opinion is that this
particular badge is a well-known fake, although I know that Detlev has had what appeared to be a genuine example of a "W.H. Wien"-marked Army Flak for sale some years ago. Maybe there are pictures out there of Detlev's badge...?

Dave, everything Skip pointed out is true. I would not want this badge in my collection. I consider it a fake also.

That eagle head looks more like a turtle to me, I would not get it.
