Thank you for your comment. I´ll post some better close-ups tomorrow. The eagle is in fact separated(a two piece construction), which made it believable. But the back looks somehow strange, you are right.

I just saw one of these on jamie cross militaria site with a coke bottle pin. It had no strange scratches on the back. The front (lacking finnish), the hinge and the catch matched this one.
