Why spend money on something that most likely never existed?? If a person is going to buy copies, at least go for something like a KC or DKiG.

      Just my opinion.

EDIT: And just out of curiousity, what's it supposed to represent???

Hank, it's the wrong design of the LW Nahkampfspange. The swastika is supposed to be positioned on the claws of the eagle.

Soooo, this should be a fantasy piece then, rather than a copy.

            Hi Andy,

Semanticly, yes. The LW CCC was instituted in Nov. 1944, but the general consensus is that it was never awarded, although entries in soldbuch's are known. The post-war clasps seems to be consistant in design, regarding the mis-placed position of the swastika. However there is an article in IMM from 2003, where Nimmergut presents two different CCC's specimens in silver, probably produced by Osang.

I have seen one of the production designs in a very respected collection. It seemed very believeable to me. That said, not very collectable when they are unique!

Interesting have never seen one of these before, thickness of the catch, hinge plate and pin look strange. New to me. All the best

                      Hello Paul,
They produce a lot of copies of badges that may have never been made or produced in few numbers. For example, look at the LW Tank badge, numbered LW Ground Assault badge, LW Air Sea Rescue badge, Heer Balloon badge, etc.

                      Regards,
                      Jody

                          Hi Marc,
If you notice I said "may have never been made or produced in low numbers" you see I covered myself.
