    Flak for review please

    Hi guys,

I am thinking of buying this nickel plated Flak. It's a nice ball hinge type and my photography does not do it justice. Any suggestions as to maker? How about concerns?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Regards,
    Stu

Perfect ball-hinge - die flaws are present. As for maker there are a few it could be, most likely Adolf Scholze, but there is no hard evidence to support that. Could be two others as well.

            Hello,

A good ball-hinge with the flat top, unlike others out there by this maker, but still original.

              Looks good from here!
I've had mine on the E-stand for weeks at a bargain price, but no interest!

                Flak Badge

                Hello,
Great badge and the ball hinge is my favorite style of flak. BTW, the example I own also has the flat top to the ball-hinge.

                Super piece!

                Regards,
                Jody

                  Jody,
The flat top is the most common on Tombak and round on zinc, though this is not a rule.

                    Hi Marc,
That is very interesting. I got my badge from a student and the badge belonged to her grandfather (he served on the Eastern front and in Italy). On the last day of school in 2004 she gave it to me.

                    Regards,
                    Jody
