Air Gunner Badge

Hi Dave. From the scan of the reverse, it would seem that the badge you show is made from buntmetal, rather than zinc. The only air gunner badges by Deumer that I have seen have been made from zinc.
If we assume that yours is buntmetal, then the catch doesn't appear to be a typical Deumer catch for their buntmetal badges. They are usually more "hooked". On the front, the eagles head and beak look different than those I have seen on Deumer zinc badges.
Here is a scan of what I believe to be a good Deumer gunner badge in zinc. Notice the difference in the wreath and the eagle's head.Attached FilesVisit my Badge Collection: http://lbmilitaria.homestead.com/home.html

Hi,
I agree with Lorenzo.
It seams to be in buntmetall but the metal is very poor and don't look as in buntmetall, and not in a right zinc too!
I don't like it for rivets, svaz, eagle and cacth. Probabily reproduction piece, sorry.
Was usually for Deumer firm in the beginnen with buntmetall types transforming the airgunner with blitz to cut letterally the blitz, as my following example and then, later, made in zinc .
Dave, from where it comes?
