Pilot badge - B&NL vs IMME??

I have been offered an early, near mint example from both of these makers.

I'd be interested to hear the opinions of other as to whether one is a more desireable maker than the other.

    Any info. would be appreciated.

Personal preference I am sure. The B&N L is quite rare, as some of the recent threads have stated. On the other hand, the J(I)MME is less rare, and more eye-appealing IMO. I personally like the J(I)MME purely because they resemble the early Juncker badges. In fact in a lot of cases the J(I)MME pilot badges were constructed using Juncker components.
Here is a IMME pilot made with Juncker 2nd pattern components:

      Hi Peter,

      that is easy!!!

      take them both

no, really, a difficult decision. I take it that they are both "buntmetal".
I personally would opt for the B&NL, but only because the design is more eye appealing, and the wreath is really thick and heavy. But that is, of course, only my opinion.

I'd say I have seen more B&NL than IMME's. When you say an 'early' piece... how early can IMME be traced back? Did they use the 1st pattern Juncker components? Did they have their own components before starting to use Juncker? Depending on what the IMME badge is made up of (ie. most probably 2nd patt Juncker components), I'd take the B&NL every day, especially if it is mint.

Thanks for the responses, they are appreciated.

I am now a little further down the road in making my decision and I think I'm starting to "lean" toward B&NL.

I guess this is what they call a "quality problem"!!

          Thanks again.

Hi Peter, Having just received my B&NL (posted in a recent thread)
I would opt for the B&NL, as they don't come up very often.. Is there any chance of you posting pic's of the two as, at the end of the day, It also comes down to condition, pattern type etc..
            Warmest Regards ... John

              Hi

I have an opinion. If got wrong, please highlight for me, thanks.

The eagle of J Temple's badge looks like an 2nd pattern Juncker eagle component. I attached my Juncker Pilot's badge for compare. I still remember some disscusion about IMME and Juncker eagle of Pilot's badge in the past.

              Cheers
