    New addition.. B&NL..

It arrived today... The following is scratched on the back..

    K. Racblic... Brandenburg (K), would this mean that this pilot received his P/B at the Flieger-Schul-Division and marked It accordingly, or was there a squadron Brandenburg (K) ?
    Warmest Regards ... John

Hi John. Looks like a nice B&NL. One of the mintiest I've seen.
Do you have another scan of the mark? That one looks like the "N" is much lower than the "B" when they should be one the same line. But maybe it's just the angle of the scan.....or my eyesight.

            Lovely

Definitely another 'minter' for the records...congratulations.

Visually...not really one of my fave Pilot Badges but I get the impression these are quite rare, especially in ace condition like this.

Where do BNL figure on the rarity scale?

            All opinions very welcome.

              Hello Gentleman,

I have looked at John's piece and have some questions, to furthur my own understanding of the maker. I referenced this the one one Lorenzo's site as well as the one I recieved from Detlev a few weeks ago and noticed that mine is identical to Lorenzo's. But noticed some signifigant differences with John's example.

              1. The eagles' beak is different

              2. Talons are different

              3. Hinge is low, and different

              4. Right wing on the Obverse is different

Just some points that I noticed and was curious as to why, is John's an early pattern . I am not sayiny the badge is not original, I am just trying to understand the differences.

              Cordially Yours,
              JD
