          Hi Robert,

there was a Imme Observer recently sold on the eStand that looked like what I would expect a Imme observer to look like. The eagle was a Juncker type.
Your eagle looke more like a Meybauer although this must not be a disqualifying point. The hinge looks like the type used by BSW on their later pilots badges, I would rather see the standard round type hinge on such a badge.
Just a few comments as I am really not sure, hopefully some of the more experienced Luft collectors will jump in. (Tim, Jos)

from the looks, this is supposedly a tombac badge, it certainly doesnt look like what I would expect to see from a zinc badge.

So you have to ask yourself, why would a tombac badge have the little plate for the catch and this type hinge assembly, normally found on zinc badges?

Well, there is only one reason, its a fake.

                  Thank you!

                  Gent's,
Thank you all! I plan on posting all items needing review and then giving them to the kids to play with ( really ). I'm going to clean the garbage out of each box of items and then see whats left. While its not always easy to do, I'm lucky that I have lots of good items also.
I can then decide on where to focus my collection and start fresh.
                  Thanks again,
                  Robert

                    Hello Gentleman,

I recently aquired the piece off the E-Stand (IMME Observer) and it does not even come close to the one posted by Robert. Mine is an Imme Eagle with a Juncker wreath. I can't post pics of it right now but will.

The piece that Robert posted I concur is a fake for the reasons already posted.

                    Cordially yours,
                    JD
