wierd eagle

Hi Robert,
I'm sure this is being offered as a 1st pattern badge, correct? To be honest I don't like the eagle. The head looks too large for the first pattern. The shoulder where the left wing meets the neck / body should not be solid but rather have the material taken out to form a backwards "c" effect. The bolts should not have material between them, they should be standing out by themselves. The talons are not well defined. Also, the S in SW in the maker stamp looks peculiar to me from the shot provided. Maybe an eagle I don't know about? Also, do you think the wreath shows signs of casting?

Hi Robert

From the viewer side, the right wing's detail is not good. From the picture, I can't see the cut-out style from the wing tip. Also the cut-out on the right-side between the lighting bolt and the eagle leg is not good to me too. I attached my example again in this thread for you to compare.

Hi Robert,

Well not a textbook thats for sure. Eagles head is a touch to fat for 1st patten Juncker, as was said the lightning bolts are usually much better cut out and better looking. The hinge looks more like a Jmme than a Juncker.
Difficult call as the rest of the badge looks pretty good IMO
