OK...I'll bite. Generally speaking, I think it looks OK. But it's always hard to tell from a scan, and this one looks slightly different from what you'd like to see. The rivets look a little bigger than I'd like to see (they look like Deumer rivets), and the wreath looks a little different. There are some striations on the reverse of the eagle, and the light color of the wreath makes it appear that it might have been heavily polished.

Dunno...I haven't seen a fake that looks as good as this one, so I would guess that the badge is good...but more scans would help.

                  Dear Yuri,

I cannot find any fault with the badge except that the finish looks almost a bit too nice for an Imme para.

Lorenzo, when comparing your IMME to all others I have on file, your rivets seem very small. So that might be a special treat of your very badge. Yuri´s has normal sized rivets IMO.

                  Cheers, Frank

Ummm..I'd have to disagree, Frank. JMME rivets are typically small(relative to a Deumer or Juncker), often with with a "pinched" effect. I don't think that Yuri's badge has a typical JMME rivet.

Here is what I mean. Here are some samples of JMME rivets on a Pilot badge, 2 para badges and a Radio badge. The last badge is Yuri's. IMO, the JMME rivets are all slightly smaller and pinched when compare to Yuri's badge., The rivets on his badge are slightly larger IMO...more like a Deumer. It's NOT a big difference...and certainly wouldn't invalidate Yuri's badge...but it is noticeable, in my opinion.

                        Hi,

No comments either way from me re the badge.

Re the case, can you tell what colour the material of the case is Yuri? I see some grey in areas which appear to have very light damage (in the shot with the case open) and for me that is a bad sign (I'm only comforatble with the yellowish pressed board material). The velvet is also the type I am wary of - it looks modern. Does the insert pop out - if so a pic would be great? Failing that, can you tease a corner of the velvet up (in the area where the slot for the pin is cut) and see if it has a clear "plastic"-like backing. From the images, I am suspicious of the case, but I'm the first to admit that cases are not my strong point.

                        Regards

Thank you guys for the high-quality responses. This badge is offered for sale and I was contemplating on purchasing it. I also think that the case is modern. Also, most of the JMMEs that I've seen have the "pitched-roof" rivets. Also, every JMME badge that I have seen so far exhibits cracks and micro-fractures on the wreath, and this badge does not have this.
