I'm one of the very few who actually likes the BSW birds. I know their not very popular with most. I'm almost ashamed to show these old beatup and used up old birdies but I don't own any of the more valuable Junckers, Deumers etc. Just these and a few of the common FLL types. I still think the BSW birds have a very mean look about them.

I've been around this forum for quite awhile but don't post very often. I still like to read the most interesting topics, just the same. Thanks to Mark for starting this great thread and to all who showed their great looking birds.

          Ken,

Nice group! I'd like to see more pix of the P/O.

          Ciritione,

Same comment. Can you post images of the reverse?

          Regards,

I'll try to get some pictures of the P/O up. If I can get my old junk camera to work properly.

Reverse embossed wearer number "135", logo "LN" for Lauer/Nuremberg and "1700".

                Fernando,

Can you get an extreme close up of the LN and the Date, on your DAAR Award? The date should be 1790, not 1700.

                  I'm sorry Mark!

it isn't mine... I only have that picture where you can't see the Date really well
but the reference of the photo puts 1700 in the catalogue

Here are a couple of pics of the P&O in my earlier picture. Unfortunately my old camera didn't capture any of the fine details of the feathers and such. Maybe you can get an idea of it anyway. It's a match for my regular BSW pilot in all except a bit heavier at aprox 42.5 grms. I checked the maker mark and it's of the accepted style with the larger W. I just wish it was in better condition as it's kinda beatup.

Reverse. I've noticed that the tube that the pin is attached to at the hindge on so many of these BSW's always seems to hang down to the right.

                          Mark,

You forgot the unmarked (FLL); so, I'll vote for that one!

Thanks!...And I hope you find a real nice BSW P&O one day.

BTW, good shot of the FLL.
