Your comments on my Juncker Observer Badge

Dear forumites,

I would like to hear your most interesting comments on my badge. Please bear with the bad scans... I got them from my brother who doesn't have a very good scanner. I do not have the badge with me, right now. Could you nevertheless dare some educated comments on it? I was trying to compare it with Niemann's cased exemplar that was on sale on his last Friday's update.

To help you with identifying your badge as good or bad, here are some photos of a good Juncker badge. I would have your brother return this piece to the seller as soon as possible. Unfortunately it's a fake.

Hello Claudio,
Robert is correct - an out and out fake. Roberts pics show exactly what a good 2nd style looks like. Compare the backsides of the badges at the 8-10 o'clock range and you will see that the inside pattern of the wreath doesn't match at all. Also, compare the hinges - the one on your pictured badge
is much to large for a Juncker. These are differences that jump right out at me without close examination of your badge.

I am sorry but I cannot said to you I like it.

the eagle - wreath are not as an Juncker type and the hinge yes, Juncker has used this type but.....in early ones and this seams to be a middle war time as shown the rivets.
metal is not in buntmetal
no chance for me.

Thank you guys... I really had a bad feeling about it (mulmiges Gefühl....). Lately I have seen so many threads about this badges that I am becoming more and more critical... unfortunately I bought it several years ago, when I was totally convinced that it was good... Another reason more to go "imperial"...

....nooo, non dire questo!! può capitare a tutti! è anche vero che hai anche molti altri ottimi distintivi originali.

l'unico modo per non cadere in qualche rete è ormai prima di comprare di far vedere o comprare a chi dà garanzia a vita.

Grazie per le tue parole gentili... che purtroppo non addolciscono molto la pillola che ho dovuto ingoiare. Si tratta proprio di un' "inculata" storica... solamente a pensarci mi fa male! Scusami le scurrilità... pane al pane... vino al vino...

Sicuro! Non vedo l'ora di essere a Stoccarda... si potrebbe magari con gli altri membri fare una bella uscita dopo lo show a bersi un bel boccale (Krug) di birra in compania in una "Kneipe" del centro...
