    LW Glider Pilot Badge

I have always thought that this was a repro (maybe early); however it doesn't look like a lot of the repros I have seen. Others have told me they thought it was an original late production. I thought that all the eagles were rivited, and this one is not instead it is soldered; therefore I thought it a repro. The same folks said some were soldered, which I have never believed. The pin, hinge and catch look better than any of the repros I have seen, and appear quite solid in construction. What do you think, and why?

I got it many years ago with some other stuff, which was all good......but I didn't count it as having any value in the deal.

    Thanks,
    Ron

    Ron,

I personally have never liked these and consider them post war construction. Probably 50s.

A lot of people do like them however and think they are OK.
I think its a case of make up your own mind.

I also do not like these. I had a similar one some years back with a bogus Juncker makermark. best wishes,

        Jeff,

Just playing Devil's Advocate, but that could be an original wartime variant with a fake makermark to drive up the price.

I know nothing about these badges and that is just something I thought of.
