    Ground Assault Badge - Zinc

Wanted to solicit opinions on this Luftwaffe Ground Assault badge. I don't know the later war Zinc badges very well, and know there are some people here who specialize in the Ground Assault Badge. Please be frank - pull no punches. Thanks!

Another shot. This is the last photo. If I had to guess, I'd say it was original. But I do know there are some excellent "zinc" type late war reproductions, so I wanted to be sure before I posted it on my website. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi Craig...they make really good copies of these one piece late war zincers...I do not like the color of your piece and the color of the paint, but I would like to hear what others have to say, John

              also....

fingerprint marks on reverse (they acid age these and the fakers get sloppy)
              odd coloration to pin
new look to paint and odd color to paint

John - thanks for the reply. I'm up in the air about this one - I think it'll come down to structure, but your comment about the color is taken under advisement, and very much appreciated. I don't want to offer anything for sale that is not correct.

Hi Craig...I am also not to keen on the way the pin folds around the hinge....but I would like to hear what the others have to say on these also, as these are tough, John

I will post pix of two similar LW GABs that I am pretty confident about....A and B...my A has a thinner catch than the B...
